This page presents some of Oracle's standard features and functions.
Return to Getting Started with Oracle Cloud.
Oracle requires data in specific fields to carry out its functions. These fields are marked with an * asterisk. These system-required fields must be filled before you can save a page or submit a process. In this guide, system-required fields are not designated in text because they are prominently marked in the Oracle applications.
However, be aware that your business process may require data in a field in order to make a process easier, complete a data record, or calculate a total properly. In these cases, the field is marked in this guide as recommended or required, but not marked in Oracle with an * asterisk. Be sure to complete these fields to ensure your business process processes correctly.
After logging in to Oracle, additional browser tabs can be opened to see information and perform functions.
1. In Firefox, look for the Menu bar that contains the File menu.
If the Menu bar or File menu isn't displayed, the Menu bar itself may be disabled. To enable it, right click in an empty browser space (as shown below), and click the Menu bar option. The check marks the option and displays the Menu Bar.
2. To open a new tab in Firefox, click the File menu, and click New Tab. An empty browser tab appears.
