This procedure describes how to import or manually enter an external transaction (cash activity not recorded within Oracle).

On the Home
screen, click Cash Management,
then click Bank Statements
and Reconciliation.
The Overview page appears. |

On the right side, click the Task icon and in External Cash Transactions section, click either Create Transactions (Go to Step 3) or Create External Transactions in Spreadsheet (Go to Step 7). |

In the Create External Transaction screen, complete the following fields:

Complete the following Accounting section fields:

Click Save. An Information pop-up message appears. |

Click OK. |

Create External Transactions in Spreadsheet selection.
The Open Excel Template pop-up defaults to Open with Microsoft Excel. Click OK. |

The spreadsheet opens in Excel.
Click File and select Save As to save the file in the desired location and enable editing. |

Enter data into the corresponding cells of the spreadsheet. |

Click the Instructions and CSV Generation tab and follow the instructions to generate a CSV file. |

Upload the Excel file to Oracle Click the Navigator and in the Tools section select File Import and Export.
The File Import and Export page appears. |

In the
Search Results section,
click the Add |

Click Browse and locate the file in the source directory. In the Account field, select fin/cashManagement/import. Click Save and Close. |

Click the Navigator and in the Tools section select Scheduled Processes. The Scheduled Processes Overview page appears. |

Click Schedule New Process. The Schedule New Process pop-up appears. |

In the Name field, select Load Interface File for Import and click OK. The Process Details pop-up appears. |

In the Import Process field, select Import External Transactions. In the Data File field, select the file uploaded to Oracle in Step 13. Click Submit.
A Confirmation pop-up appears. |
